Review: Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Pe.I wanted to barge into Angelini's house the whole time, bang the book over her head and set fire to everything in the perimeter I WAS SO ANGRY. To make matters worse, the Oracle reveals that a dangerous traitor is lurking among them, and all fingers point to Orion. Helen's powers are increasing and so is the distance between her and her mortal friends. Of course, that wouldn't be the optimal solution, but if they really loved each other so much and wanted to be together so badly, WHY THE FUCK NOT. Goddess is the final book in Josephine Angelini's heart-stopping trilogy inspired by Greek mythology, Starcrossed. Not to mention Helen could've just had a child with some other man and still be with Lucas. cousins? Really? And you're expecting me to take their struggle, their "starcrossed love" seriously? Hell, no. At least make them siblings or something, but. Because if COUSINS have children, there's at least a 98% chance the child is deformed, or goes insane or anything. Not to mention that, as COUSINS, they couldn't EVER be together. And then the fact that Helen and Lucas weren't cousins got pulled out at the end like the big reveal everyone with half a brain cell had already figured out at the end of book two. The whole damn conflict between Lucas and Helen could have been avoided if ANY of them would have been able to do the SIMPLEST, FIRST GRADE MATHS. I'm talking about romance next because this annoyed the fuck out of me.
